Happy Fall Ya’ll. Or as I like to call it happy pie eating, hunter boots wearing, hot chocolate drinking, sweater weather season. Can you tell it’s my favorite? Thanksgiving is here and I couldn’t be happier. Thanksgiving fills my soul with all the goodness and keeps me in my happy place. I just love everything about it.
I love setting the table with fancy cutlery, waking up early to get the turkey in the oven, and spending the day laying around watching football and being together with family and friends. The smells, the feels, it’s glorious. Get your fat pants ready!
Apple cider? Yes please, pumpkin pie? Absolutely. It’s all things wonderful and my heart is full. But beyond all the festive pumpkins and sparkly charger plates though, Thanksgiving reminds me to pause and take account of all that I am grateful for. My family, my friends, my health, and all the little things that we so easily take for granted. Each and every one of us has something or someone to be thankful for and there’s no better time to take an account of it than Thanksgiving.

Is it even Thanksgiving without a green bean casserole? I didn’t think so. Click here for my favorite Thanksgiving Green Bean Casserole Recipe.

I come from a big family and Thanksgiving dinner always includes LOTS OF KIDS! One of the things I love to do is set them up with some fun placemats and crayons to help keep them entertained during dinner. I usually get some little galvanized tins from the dollar store and give each placemat their own little bucket of crayons. You can even include some festive stickers and stamps too!
